Moving into the sec
ond day of our performance at Penang Island Jazz Festival. We had the chance to perform with other acts from KL and Sabah. First was the Faridian Jazz Trio 02 that is pure jazz act, Momain Blues from Sabah, a classy blues act with suits and ties which reminded us of the Blues Brothers, and lastly FAZZ… they’re as original as they come. It’s hard to really describe FAZZ but think Cabaret and 1930’s, that’s what they sound like. What stood out was their lead singer Kevin with his unique expressions and showmanship. I have to say that he is the star of the show and without him (IMO), there will be no FAZZ.
